MRLC Salon Phrase IV: The Scholars and the Law Enforcement Officials Discussed the Anti-monopoly Cases

On June 15th, China-Korea Market and Regulation Law Center (MRLC) Salon Phrase IV was successfully held in Room 206, Renmin University of China Mingde Law Building. Associate Professor Meng Yanbei of Renmin Law School held this salon. Professor Han Liyu of Renmin University of China Law School, six law enforcement officials from State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) and Chongqing Industrial and Commercial Bureau jointly participated in this discussion.
This salon focused on the issues of the anti-monopoly law enforcement in medicine industry. The scholars and the law enforcement officials further discussed the issues such as exclusive agency agreement, refusal to trade, unfairly high prices and tie-in sale combined with specific cases encountered in the law enforcement. Moreover, they discussed the factors that need to be considered in the regulation of such issues in the practice of law enforcement.
After discussions and exchanges, officials from SAIC have expressed that they reward a lot from this salon. Two teachers’ professional and in-depth analysis has help them have a richer understanding of the concepts of the anti-monopoly law, and provides them a good analysis method for their practical work of law enforcement.
